The ABVs of Beer
Beer bottles and cans are works of art, but they also contain valuable information on the brew within the vessel. In this online workshop via Zoom, beer lovers will analyze this information, practice pouring like a pro and breaking a beer into all of it’s delicious parts. Being able to analyze a can, pour and deconstruct a beer ensures that you get the beer you want, that you enjoy it to the fullest and that you know what makes your taste buds happy. Gain some beer cred when you tell your hop head friend that that high ABV and IBU beer is not going to hit the spot.
Fermented Bread
Beer is anything but a simple beverage, in fact this nuanced drink has a long and storied history. In this online workshop via Zoom, beer lovers will learn some fireside yarns to entertain their friends and taste a beer timeline. Gain some beer cred when you explain the reason that English ales have a low alcohol content.
Ales vs Lagers
Beer Cred 101 (20 mins)
There are so many beer styles that it can be easy to lose sight of the two basic groupings of beer, ales and lagers. In this online workshop via Zoom, beer lovers will explore the differences between ales and lagers and practice determining which grouping a beer falls within. Being able to tell the difference will help them to find what they like, as well as to gain some beer cred when they explain to their friends that lagers aren’t a style, they’re a broad beer category.
