Illuminating Blind Tastings
Our eyes can deceive us and what we see on a can or bottle, or even in a glass, affects how we experience the brew. Setting up a blind tasting is a way to train your senses in picking up nuanced aromas and flavors that you might otherwise miss and can lead to interesting discoveries even in your favorite beer. In this online workshop via Zoom, beer lovers will challenge their senses and get some beer cred when they can differentiate between similar styles using aroma and taste alone.
This workshop builds upon the skills learned in Sip & Savour.
Glassware
Much like bringing out the fancy silverware for a special meal, glassware can set expectations. The glass you use to serve your beer gives clues as to what will be served, and if chosen carefully it also accentuates a beer’s appearance and flavor. In this online workshop via Zoom, beer lovers will experience the difference a glass can make, and gain some beer cred when they can back up their request for a real glass to drink their next beer out of.
Beer & Food Pairings
Beer by itself is wonderful. Food by itself is delicious. It’s when you combine the two that culinary experiences are taken from good to spectacular. The right combination can evoke memories, create new experiences and make elements of the beer and dish pop. In this online workshop via Zoom, beer lovers will explore beer and food interactions and create their own beer and food pairings. Gain some beer cred when you elevate your next meal with a beer pairing.
This workshop builds upon the skills developed in Famous Couples.
